About Wyvis Wyvis,
originally 3 dwellings, is a converted mill workers cottage and dates
back to
around 1845. Converted into a single dwelling around
the mid
1940’s, Wyvis offers exceptional 4 Star Bed &
Breakfast accommodation for a
maximum of four guests. Wyvis is situated in the town of Tillicoultry in Scotland’s smallest county of, Clackmannanshire. The
“WEE
COUNTY”,
as Clackmannanshire is affectionately
known, is within easy reach
of the cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow and their respective airports,
as well
as Scotland's newest city of Stirling.
This makes it an ideal destination for touring the beautiful scenic and historic Central Belt of Scotland, which has many places of interest to visit. We want our guests to experience a true Scottish 'home from home', with good Scottish food and traditional Scottish hospitality. Quality and comfort for our guests is our main priority and this has been reflected in acheiving this award. Our aim is to make your visit to Scotland's smallest county (a real hidden gem) and to our home an enjoyable one. Wyvis has been a succesful Bed & Breakfast for over 20 years and Irene & Terry look forward to welcoming you to our family home, nestling beneath the Ochils, where a warm Scottish welcome awaits you. Green Tourism Policy We at Wyvis Bed and Breakfast are committed to providing a good quality service while also minimising the environmental impact of our activities. We use low energy bulbs wherever possible. We also invite guests to re-use the towels, which will be dried daily, if staying more than one night. We also encourage our guests to recycle papers, magazines etc.. With the new train servicefrom Alloa to Stirling, Glasgow and Edinburgh we encourage our guests to consider this mode of transport when visiting these cities further helping to reduce the carbon footprint. We source our food from local suppliers when we can and in our garden we have Raspberry, Strawberry, Blackcurrant and Blueberry plants. We also have Apple, Plum and Pear trees and a large herb garden whilst in our greenhouse we grow our own tomatoes, cucumbers and grapes. We are replacing flower beds with vegetable plots so we can produce our own seasonal vegetables to help us reduce our carbon footprint even further. Copyright
